There are some couples you can tell are best friends before anything else, and Fiona and Nathan are one of those couples. They brought a lightheartedness to the day, joking around and playfully teasing each other in between musical performances, dancing, and chasing after their adorable dog Quinn.
Nestled in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, Fiona and Nathan’s wedding felt authentically joyful and down-to-earth. The day incorporated various camp-themed elements that celebrated the couple’s love for the outdoors. From custom branded enamel camp mugs to the table settings named after places they’ve visited, Fiona and Nathan made their wedding unique to their relationship.

Getting Ready

The Ceremony
The ceremony was held outdoors alongside a softly bubbling creek. Fiona’s little cousin wore a pink suit and cool kid sunglasses to play the part of “flower girl.” One of the couple’s friends served the role of Quinn handler, silently handing her treat after treat while Fiona and Nathan read their vows. Later, Quinn took her rightful place beside her parents as they walked back down the aisle, now officially married!

Newlywed Portraits
After the ceremony and family photos, we took an excursion in Fiona and Nathan’s white Subaru Outback to some nearby nature trails for the newlywed portraits. It gave the couple an opportunity to get away from the crowds before the reception while basking in the vibrant fall foliage of the White Mountains.

Photographing Fiona and Nathan was truly a dream. It was completely intuitive to them to play around together, making the portraits dynamic and natural. They weren’t afraid to try something different (or get a little dirty doing so). One of my favorite shots of the day is of them laying in a meadow, looking into each other’s eyes.

The Reception
One of the many things Fiona and Nathan share is a love for music. To highlight this at their wedding, the couple kicked off the reception with musical performance they prepared!

The reception was filled with lots of dancing, singing, and girls donning blankets and shawls to keep warm as the evening began to cool. With a late September wedding in New England, you really start to feel the onset of Autumn.
